Another gorgeous week on Lake of the Woods with reasonable calm winds and stable weather brought good action for most.

A bit of a tough bite the first couple days, but things picked up Tuesday and walleye hit pretty well after that. Most of the action was hump/reef related and the best action was out west by Three Sisters and Firebag. Though a couple boats did real well close to home also.

Muskies were pretty much all on rock structure with a varierty of lures working well at times. Buckatils, topwater and rubber swim baits all had action, with several nice fish being caught: including: 43" (personal best 1st muskie ever), 45"(personal best & 2nd muskie ever), 46", 48" (personal best) and 49.5".

Morson Bass International jumped off this morning from the Government Dock in Hanson Bay and will have 19 boats fishing Saturday and Sunday

The Muskies Inc Gil Hamm Chapture Challenge is again in the Morson area and we will be welcoming multiple groups/teams this week.

Good luck to all on the water. Summer is fading fast. You are running out of time to "Get your fish on" up here before fall comes.
