    Default Verizon

I am guessing the answer hasn't changed over the last couple of years, but I figured I had to ask. Is there any Verizon cell service on the flowage at all? Last time I was up there in 2010 I was able to get signal from Hayward up until about the LCO Casino and then again around Famous Dave's, but got nothing at all on the flowage itself. Just want to make sure before I go out and buy an AT&T Go Phone like I did last time just so I can have cell service while up there.

    Thanks,
    Matt

Matt, I got back from the Flowage Aug. 11. I have verizon, have for years. I only take the phone with me when I go to Hayward because it's useless anywhere else near the Flowage. Oh, I have had it in my pocket out on the water, and once in a blue moon somewhere out there it'll get service. I won't risk dropping the phone in the water totin' it around searching for a signal.

I'd suggest you get AT&T as you mentioned. My friends that have that service seem to get a signal. Shoot, I've even seen those Trac Fones work better than a Verizon one. It's frustrating but is also an excellent opportunity to get away from the calls and texts..sort of a "vacation" if you will. lol

    Good luck !

I have Verizon and it is certainly a problem but for me I get a good signal in the Deerfoot bar ( I stay there) as they have wy fi there so it works good. A lot of places now have this service so it is worth checking out. Still don't get it on the lake ( really don't need it there, never had any years ago) but I don't have to drive to Hayward anymore.

I had Verizon last year and it worked at The Landing if I stood by the bridge and also at the dam.
