Walleye action slowed up a bit with a few fronts moving through. Still some fish caught on humps, but the better fishing was found on sand/gravel in 10-18 feet of water.

Muskie fishing was great for size, if not numbers. Lots of lookers and several big fish seen, hooked and lost on top of the big girls that were landed. Structure was mostly rock related, but a couple nice fish caught in the weeds. Big fish were definitely moving and eating throughout the week with: 47, 47, 48, 48, 48.5, 49.5, 49.5, 50, 50, 51 and 51 inchers reported. Pics of all but 2 of those fish are on the facebook page and the other 2 have been promised by email in the coming days.

Smallies caught on boulders and shallower rock points. Some pig pike caught again as well with those muskie fishing.

Massive cold front with wind and much cooler temps to start this week has slowed things done some. Water temps were 73 on Sunday morning August 5. A couple days of stable weather should bring the fish back to a more aggressive mood.

Good luck on the water.
