Had a guide trip today with my guide client JR, and we saw two muskies (both over 40" with one pushing 45"-46"), but we were unable to capitalize on the Full Moon peak. I spoke with two other guide boats out on the lake that night and they had the same story until 10:30pm when one of the boats finally boated a 43"er right by us. Otherwise we all had followers but no eaters. Should have been a great night considering the moon phase, but for some reason our lake was off that night. JR was casting a Kramer Brothers bucktail along the weed edge and that fat mid-forties came screaming in behind the lure with the tinsel tickling it's nose about 5:00pm but unfortunately did not eat on the Figure 8. He learned a lot and we both had a fun night on the water.
