Just left Witch Bay. Encountered many days of changing wind patterns and some days of dropping temperatures. We found the walleyes anywhere from 26 - 36 ft of water depending on the weather that we encountered. If the cold front moved through the fish moved deeper. We found them in the classic mid-lake hump areas. If there was a wind/chop or clouds then the fish were a little shallower, if it was sunnier or calm, they went a little deeper. We found leeches and Gulp products to be most effective and jigging spoons were also effective when the bite slowed. Slow tapering points seemed to hold fish as well. We did bottom bounce and found some bigger fish south of the narrows on some of the selected days. Good luck to those who are coming up!
