Got to give my boat a rest this weekend , courtesy of Bob Wincek. Went out Sat. with my neighbor for a third guy. We couldn't get the second line in for over 20 min. due to the wire dipsey with a white Spin Doc. and a little boy blue fly going off twice. Landed a nice king, lost the second on the surface 80 ft behind boat. This was after he took 540 ft of wire southbound. Then I drove for a while. We ended up 9 of 19, then ran out of time, and went in with 8 Kings, 1 coho.
Went again Sun. this time with my nephew. Had to be in by 11, but left early, as the weather report said a large bow echo was in Jefferson cty. coming our way. It never made it to the lakeshore, but we had 6 kings from 7-16lbs. I had my firefighter nephew do most of the work, he loved it. Family and neighbors shared the catch.
Thanks Bob, for a great weekend. We'll use my boat next time.
