Thread: Fishing report

    Default Fishing report

The BIG KINGS are in. Today we left the harbor around 5 AM, went out to 100 feet of water and the rain promptly started. It was funny though as with the fast action we had no one seemed to notice the rain. We were unable to get more than two or three rods rigged before another Chinook took off on a long run. It was like that most of the morning. Set a rod, play a fish, land or lose it and start again. These are nice silver fish in prime condition and long first runs had the reels screaming. It was almost like spring Coho except these fish were in the upper teens to lower twenty pound fish.

Our best action today was between 120 and 140 feet on spoons although the large dodger/fly combo's also took fish. Final total was 13 fish. Ten were King Salmon, two were Coho and One a nice Steelhead. Can't wait for our next trip.

    See ya on the water.
