Default report from 1 to 5 July

water temp is 84 to 87, fishing is tought to say the least, am seeing a few porpoisging and occasionally will see some big swirls when I disturb one on a basor but getting no action at all. Using bucktails top waters, depth raiders, in short everything in my tackle box. Had a short windstorm yesterday which cooled the water to 82 and last night watched it storm bigtime out to the west lots of lightening after dusk but none in our area. A good rain would be nice to cool things off. Met Tim of Anglers Way, was nice to talk globes with him and bumped into Fred Hirsch yesterday and talked bucktails. bout it for now waiting till 7 to go out again when it is a little cooler. Have to see what Willow will go today after all the waves over it yesterday.

Thanks for the current report. Heading up to the Chip tomorrow and will be there for a week. Was curious about the water temps. We have been hotter than the blazes down here in southwest WI. Looks like it is finally due to cool down here so hopefully it will be a little cooler up there!
