It sure seems like the posts have been really slow lately. Is it because the fishing is slow or is everyone just so darn busy? I'm wondering if it's worth the drive from Negaunee to come down and try it or should I wait until it picks up a little? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Walleye fishing sucks right now. It's pretty much like this every year at this time. The mayfly hatches have started, and the alewives are moving into the bay to spawn. It's great for the fish, but it's awful hard to compete against all that natural food. You can still catch fish, but they are mostly undersized ones. Typically you will have to catch 15 to 20 to get one keeper. Usually the bite starts to pick up again around the end of July.
