Our season opened on May 15th and we got off to a good start. The weather was pretty good and people were catching fish.
Good reports coming in on the perch and walleye being caught, also hearing reports of a lot of small Northern Pike being caught too.

Most people that were catching perch were fishing the north end of the lake in shallow water (5 feet or less) using a slip bobber technique with the bait of their choice (1/2 a crawler, small leeches, or small minnow)

Walleye were active as well with a lot of pressure on the north end of the lake because of wind conditions with people drifting using a jig and a minnow or trolling in that 7-10' of water where the weeds were just starting to come up. Others were trolling shorelines along the main part of the lake in the rocks using shad style baits

The wind has been blowing pretty heavy lately keeping some people of the lake. Remember to check the weather forecast before heading out. Be safe.
