Fishing was up and down on Memorial Weekend with the weather. Thursday afternoon and evening gave the early birds some good fishing before a wind change and massive cold front slowed things down on Friday. Saturday picked back up again and Sunday was mostly a write-off with NE winds blowing 20MPH gusting to 30MPH all day and into the night.

Great fishing on Saturday in some deeper water...down towards 30 feet with spinners or jigs with minnows. Also received reports of great fishing on any point from 18-22 feet of water.

Highlights of the weekend included several most personal best walleyes. Several fish in the 25-26 inch range and a couple larger than that up to 28 inches..all of which were caught and released.

No reported northern action from our crew of walleye hungry anglers over the weekend.

Looking forward to posting some pictures on the board and website in the next day or two.

Also check facebook for a new contest announcement this week.

Good luck on the water.
