May 5th and 6th
Dad and Rick came up for the weekend. Fishing was tough but we managed to get some really nice fish. Started out on the flowage sat morning and caught a hand full of smallies, water temps were 57 to 63. In the afternoon we made a move to a clear lake in hopes for some giant smallies. Fishing was slow but caught some really nice fish. Most of the smallmouth were 18 to 16 inches. Rick got a 19 and I got a 19.5. Dad some how managed a 13 inch crappie on a number 12 husky jerk, water temps ranged from 51 to 53. Today it RAINED and didn't stop. We went out for smallies and got a few around 18 inches. Rick also stuck a nice 21.5 inch largemouth, what a pig! Weather looks good for the week and action should only get better.
