Thread: Opener Approaching

    Default Opener Approaching

Well the opener is just around the corner. Water levels on the ER & TL are good and water temps have ranged from the upper 40's to mid 50's depending on the lake and the day. These are not what we had predicted a month ago with the cold April we had after the crazy march. Look for fish to be taken on the traditional jig and minnows and casting small crank baits in the evening. These fish will not be fully in the weeds but in transition and may only come into the in them until the water warms in the afternoon. In the cool morning look for them off the weeds in softer bottom areas. Good luck and hope to see you all on the water this season. I hope to report on a consistent basics again this year.
