    Default Summer fishing Tips

    Hello,

I am planning a summer fishing trip, it will the first in the UP. How is the fishing in middle to late summer on Lake Gogebic? What are some proven Walleye and Northern techniques?

    Thanks

    Response to Flyer 2488,

Hi My name is Tim Long owner of The Timber resort Located on the North end of Lake Gogebic.
Fishing is usually pretty good the first part of the season but can slow down in late July and August like it did last year, however the year before it was great fishing all year. To answer your question it really all depends upon weather patterns and the forage base. Things are constantly changing and it is pretty hard to predict how the bite will be in advance. I know this. I will be out there fishing during that time period and to be honest I could think of anything better to do.

If you would like to talk fishing with me, you are more then welcome to give me a call here at the resort. I can go over anything you would like to talk about in detail.

Thanks for checking in with Outdoor 911

Take care and have a great day,

    Tim
