With the windy cool weather over the past weekend many are steering away from the lakes those that have been out are finding success with crappies and bluegills. On my last few trips out I have been finding those fish in 2-3 feet of water. The best presentation for the bluegills has been a single small aberdene hook with two or three wax worms under a Lindy Thrill Bobber. For crappies we have been slowly casting 1/16 oz mini mite jigs tipped with a small crappie minnows over weed flats in 4-6 fow. On Lake Geneva Perch have been biting well in 3-4 fow along the north shore rainbow point to fontana. Crappie anglers have had limited to good success with the changing weather condition making it tough while causing these fish schools to move around a lot making them hard to target. Opening weekend is the first Saturday in May and I am booking prime time spots daily call us soon. Hope to see you on the water!
