Muskie assessments to begin soon on Baby and Mann Lakes, HELP IS NEEDED
Walker Area Fisheries is in need of assistance with our spring musky assessments on Baby and Mann Lakes, just southwest of Longville, MN. Due to staffing shortages we need your help, and would also like to give local Muskie Inc. chapters the opportunity to see what we do as biologists to assess your musky fisheries. Please forward this email to all of your members. Also you will see when you read the attached document ‘2012 Volunteer request’ that we are also trying to find people that fish Baby and Mann Lakes to assist us in doing a population estimate, which involves collecting a few scale samples from the fish they catch. So please even if you are unable or don’t have an interest in assisting with the netting portion of this project but fish either of these lakes, please contact us so we can work together and have you collect a few scales for us. Also, if you know non Muskie Inc. members or guides that fish either of these two lakes, please forward me their information too. We can only succeed by working together on this. Spring is coming fast.
Thank you,
Matt
