Yea, you are right about the spawning temp range. I am pretty sure our pike are loving one another cuz we have only seen 1 in 4 days.

Even with the water temps rising quick i was still catching pre spawn walleye females at this time last week before the water level rose.
I wonder if the walleyes will still spawn or reabsorb the eggs.
Everything that was going to spawn will spawn.........just earlier than normal. There is always a small percentage of fish that will re-absorb each year.

Water temps were 48-49 this morning and 49-50 this afternoon in the Rockland-Emlenton area. We managed one fat 31" pike and one fat 40.5" musky. We also raised 2 more pike, one of which followed 3 times and struck the bait twice within ten feet of the boat. I think these fish were all pre-spawn? All fish were moved with Bluegill color glide baits.

Fished Kittanning yesterday. Temps were 52. Only moved two very small ones.
