Fishing report
The last couple days have been a pleasant treat. I was out yesterday for a few hours to target some crappies. I was able to get a dozen or so but they were running on the smaller size. Tip downs with either a rappie minnow or a rosey red. The best action for me was about a foot and a half off the bottom. Wit hthe weather we have been seeing the last couple weeks we do not have our normal ice depths. the lake I was on normally would have had a least 2 feet of ice this time of year. I measured 15" yesterday. On friday a pickup truck went through on Boom Lake here in town. Many of our lakes are flowages and that means some type of moving water. As things melt even just a little bit they can start to lose ice in those current areas. So be carefull and enjoy the remainder of the ice season. I am headed to Milwaukee next weekend for the Musky Expo. When it gets to be this time of year my mind starts to get geared for open water. I know it is a long way off yet but I can't wait!
Goof Fishing,
