I have been real busy with sport shows and all not allowing me much time to post. However, this is what is going on right now.
Northerns are doing well on shiners on tip ups above and at the weed edges. They have been very active on the warm sunny days. Fish in 10 to 12 feet on clear lakes and 8 to 3 feet on dark lakes. Panfish are near weeds and out deep. The weed fish are easier to catch as the suspended fish can be finicky. Purists jigs have been doing well tipped with a spike or waxy.
The walleyes are still biting on the Eagle Chain. Dark days are better than clear sunny high pressure days. The best action is on tip ups with sucker minnows. The bite is most consistant from 3 pm to 7pm. However on low pressure dark days the bite can start earlier. Fish from the weed edge out to deep water.
The ice fishing pressure has been considerably less this winter season. It is possibly due to the economy and the ability of folks to afford and other trip north. Friday thru Sunday seems to be when most guys are getting out.The weather has been very mild, which is comfortable but also causes slush to build under the snow. Right now it is not to bad but today and tomorrow we are to be in the 40's which could build more slush.

We are going to be at the Milwaukee Muskie Expo again this year, we have some exciting new lures for your inspection.

Hope to see you there.
