Made it back out to the same set of holes we've been using all week late yesterday morning with my son, while I jigged & slaved away on the laptop Joe spent the morning chasing flags, he picked up a few bass & the standard small to medium pike as well as he got cut off by another really nice pike.. We only jigged up a couple decent crappies mixed in with plenty of smaller fish, which is typical when the toothy critters are around.. We have found a good use for the smaller perch & gills tho, they seem to be improving flag & hook up rates by 3:1 over bait shop minnows & roaches. Once the little cold front came thru in the afternoon everything came to a screeching halt, Joe stayed til around 9pm & only scored a couple more paper lips on little atoms with dark colored wedgies.. Ice conditions are about the same with a good 6" or so, temps were down a little as our holes were skimming over in the afternoon & we dropped to about 28 overnight which took care of any water that was pooled up. Heading back out shortly to see how tonight's evening/night bite goes.
