After the 8"-10" snowfall on Sunday, there are now slush areas starting to show up, mainly where any holes are located. The weight of the new snow along with any vehicle weight, is starting to force the water up to create the slush. I was told that yesterday, three full size pick-ups got stuck. Not sure where this occurred, but if traveling out with vehicles, a shovel would be well advised. I measured 13- 14" base ice as of yesterday. The guests that have been going out with snowmobiles told me last night that there is some major slush areas by Duck Point and the islands. With the Phelps Lions Derby going on Sat., be advised that travel could be slow going.
Northern action is still good throughout the day, with 'eyes biting at dusk and later.
