Rode the snowmobile around the lake yesterday and found an average 11" ice base. Thinnest was 9 1/2" , thickest was 12". And a couple of these measurements were 20 ft. apart. I was a little amazed at how many trucks I saw on the ice. Hopefully by next weekend it should be a consistant 12" or above. The constant I heard from all the anglers was fishing was a little slow. Our guests have been doing rather good especially on the northerns. Walleyes seem to have a one to two hour window of feeding activity at dusk. Panfish has been most successful over in Indian Bay. Also have had atleast 10 reports of muskies on tip-ups. Flying Flags to all!!
