Ice Condition

Well havnt heard any posts on how much ice is out there. I havnt been out yet but have heard some stories of sketchy spots is it getting better yet. How is the yellow gate closest to kipling? Is anyone going out over the island yet? Thanks for the help guys and girls!

I was down at Kipling and the yellow gate on Monday and wasnt liking what I was seeing.. or the reports I was getting.. 4 inches was thickest one fella reported and that was spud and tape measured in several areas. The pressure crack off yellow gate wasnt bad.. but talked with a guy who broke through in the AM and watched a few fellas work hard to get their gear across the opening. For me, a little too thin yet. That was Monday.. colder now.. hopin things tighten up and that wind didnt cause other issues.
