Anglers itching to get out on the ice say a recent cold snap has been just what they needed to get the ice fishing season under way.

The air temperature in the Wausau area has stayed below 32 degrees since Dec. 4, and will stay below freezing through tonight before climbing above freezing again Sunday. The cold air helped create between 3 inches and 5 inches of ice on parts of Lake Wausau and Half Moon Lake near Mosinee, among other bodies of water.To view complete article Click Here
