For those of you waiting for the ice, it is here. We were at -1 degrees last night and most the lakes are still building ice all day today. North Twin is one of the few lakes that have not closed up.

Some early ice fishermen report some early walleye success in the back bays as well as northerns. Shiners and walleye suckers are doing the best on tip ups. The fish are shallow in 4 feet and less.

Be sure to fish with a buddy and use a spud to check the ice in front of you.

Good Luck out there.
