Windy is the word this past week. Muskies have been active in very small windows but the action can be intense. Time on the water is the only way to ensure you will be there when a window opens.
Look for Muskies to be in 12 feet of water or less with many fish coming from 3-6 feet. Jerk baits, glide baits or twitching crank baits have all been working along with suckers in the 12-14 inch range. Look for weed edges and break edges to concentrate your efforts.
Water temps are starting to fall very steadily into the upper 40’s on many lakes in the area. This is a sure sign that it is time to chase those big girls.
Good luck
