I met Bruce from Cross Plains, WI, and his friend Fred from Eau Clare for a trip on "Pete". I phoned Bruce on Tuesday to give him the weather report for Thursday, which did not look good. He said that's what the make Gortex for, so off we went. It was raining at the time we launched, so we headed for the south end to pull flies on the buoy line. It stopped raining for a while, but then the wind shifted and it started to blow big time. Northwest wind to at least 15 mph. Boat control was tough, but we did manage to catch 1 "keeper", 4 "shorties", 1 small mouth, and 3 white bass.
No picture today, to wet to get the camera out.
The water is cooling nicely so the good fall bite is still ahead.

Keep a tight line!!!
