    Default October Fishing Report 10/4/2011

2011 is still holding as one of the best fishing years ever. I am still catching 60 - 100 plus fish per day. I have been filling out on walleyes and chasing smallies in the afternoon. Both have been excellent.

The fishing has still been good from Crow Creek to the Dam, and the lower 1/3 rd of Lake Sharpe. Still have to catch numbers to get your limits. I have only had one non fill day since June. Most limits caught by noon, except for a few scattered days.

Make sure and check out our recent photos. http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/All...88340537852825

Fishing all kinds of techniques. Bottom Bouncers, lindy rigs, or jigs. Minnows and night crawlers have also been working.

Plan a fishing trip alone, or plan something with your pheasant hunt.

    Hey Mike,

Are you expecting the good bite to continue through October? We're are scheduling a trip the weekend after the pheasant opener for 3 days of fishing. Never fishing Francis Case this late in the year, so I was curious as to what to expect for this time of the year. Also, do you know what the current water temp is?

    Thanks

Fishing should still be excellent from Crow Creek to the Dam. Also the bite on the lower end of Sharpe has been excellent. You will have to go through numbers to catch your limits. I have been guiding smallies and walleyes. Walleyes in morning and smallies in afternoon. Surface temp is 63 to 64 degrees. The fishing should stay excellent until the snow flies. Probably be good after that with some technique changes.

I hope this helps. See you on the water.
