Great week of fishing interupted by a couple of days of wind/rain. Sunday and Monday gave up excellent crappie fishing for our anglers. OB Lake was where they were fishing. Another group hit Miles Bay on Monday and did well on crappies there also. Action slowed on days of severe wind/rain on Tues/Wed, but people snuck out and did ok on walleyes. Plenty of eaters despite the tough weather conidtions.

Thurs/Fri picked up again as people went back out for crappies. The new crew for the weekend did great in OB again on Friday. Walleyes have been steady in numbers, if not spectacular in size. Thought a very healthy 28" was caught and released on Friday. The usual fall locations (current areas) have been the best.

Muskie action was steady also. Fish seen and hitting each day by our lone muskie angler this week. He and I snuck out Sunday (9/18) and raised 5-6 fish, having a chance at a couple but not getting hooked up. Buckatils and crank baits were the best for him during his stay. Shorelines with rocks, points were the key structural elements.

The weather turned gorgeous Thursday and the forecast is for an exended run of nice fall conditions.

What a great time to be on the lake.
