Walleyes were a bit scattered from some high winds that blew from differing directions as well as mutliple storm cells moving through the area. Deeper water was the key to catching walleyes again, with a lot of moving around to pick up your fish.

The Muskie Inc Chapter Challunge was held in the Morson area during the week and was met with 25+ MPH winds on Wednesday for the first day of the event. Pre fishing yielding some smaller fish for our guests that were competing, as well as a 45" caught on a topwater lure.

Several fish in the 47-49 inch range were registered as well as 52 and 55 inchers. I dont have all the details, but it seemed to be a pretty good 2.5 days of fishing for some, and a little tougher for others.

Water temps were in the mid 70s most of the week when the sun was out warming the surface. Water clarity was still reasonable for this time of year, but algae is present and will be a factor in certain areas depending on winds/current, etc.
