    Default Busy Summer

School is in session (as of today here in NY) and another crazy summer fishing season has come and gone. I will upload a few nice photos as soon as I get them re-sized and a few of them photoshopped. The walleye action was good for numbers and the trout action was good for above average sized fish plus a couple of real studs.

It was especially cool to observe and track the musky/sucker relationship over the past 7-8 weeks.......the radio telemetry study published in MH Magazine about a year ago or so really opened my eyes to this interaction....wow!

    Stay tuned.

Awesome fish. That male brown in the 3rd picture is a beast! Were any of the trout taken with flies? Nice walleye also, whats the length & weight of that hog?

That trout was just a wee bit over 28" and I am guessing around 8 pounds or so.....the guy holding it dwarfs me, btw. The walleye was 31" and 10-11 pounds.

All the trout and walleye ate stickbaits.

I managed to haggle the cup from my wife back in July cuz I was getting tired of fooling with styrofoam cups and needed something more bulletproof.

Yes, night time browns......we even hit a few rainbows too, plus a bonus musky on 8lb. test. (It was her first musky and she was pumped.) Check out the pic but excuse my "light-blinded" face.
