Well finally got back on the water. Spent the morning out with my good friend and tournament partner "Q" Carlson. Water temps at 5:00 am was 80+. Fished Channel, Catherine and Marie. Water clarity fair to good on the upper lakes and "pea green" on Marie. Ended up with one follow. "Q" ended up boating a freshwater drum on a bucktail which was a pretty good sized fish. Boat ran great since the last outing in Canada. Fished until 10 and had a great breakfast at the Thirsty Turtle. We need some cooler noghts and days now to start bringing the water temps down and for the bigger fish to move back up shallow. Saw a couple of boats catching some smaller muskies from the shallower weeds.
