Walleye are picking up, we are starting to catch some nicer fish in the 10 to 15 fow range. They are hitting light so we have been using Rod and Bobb's "The Boss" slip bobbers. The stem of this bobber is on a spring so when the fish suck the bait in the stem moves without the fish feeling the bobber. Many times the fish are biting so light we were just seeing the stem of the bobber drop an inch or two and never go under the water. We are also using lindy rigs with a plain hook. Leeches and Crawlers still seem to be the bait of choice but should be changing over to a minnow bite as the water cools a little more.

Musky action is picking up as well, There really dosen't seem to be a bait of choice right now for them. Reports are comming in about a lot of surface bait action but also reports of jerk bait and bucktail catches.

We have some openings the next couple of days and a lot of next week so if your in the area and having trouble catching fish give Ross's a call and we can set up a trip with one of our 4 quality fishing guides.
