Cedar River Area Salmon

Spent about four hours in 90 to 100 feet east of Cedar River marked a load of fish but no takers.
Alot of bait fish floating on the surface. Was an enjoyable afternoon evening and will try again another day.

Any luck over the weekend?

Did not get back out over the weekend. Went after Walleye with my neighbor near Chambers
with one 30 incher caught and released. Slow other than that. Again many alewives floating on surface.

Check with some fisherman last Friday afternoon, and they reported too much bait and no strikes for either salmon or walleye. The walleye fisherman was pre fishing for some touranment and could only get sheep head to bite. Scary to see the fishing has been so poor at a normally good fishing port. We many need to sell the expensive salmon gear and buy some cheap spinning rods and begin fishing sheep head and carp.

over 10hrs. today looking for silver.... Zip, Zero, Zilch, nada, nothing,nill,ect.... Only a few fish taken. Lot's of bait all over the place... MMGLSF derby going on and fishing really bad.... I heard the walleye were snappin in Oconto if that is any consolation...
