Our first ever trip to the Northwoods found us staying at the Three G's Resort on Lake George and it was over the week of Labor Day.. Labor Day weekend was indeed pretty busy on the water but the Tue-Sat following we were about the only folks on the water.. Didn't see a musky or northern but LOTS of bass, walleyes and panfish.. We didn't have a depth finder and Pete is spot on when he says "check out the rock bars".. LOLOL... When we planned our next years trip we looked for 3 things to improve from our stay at 3 G's.. 1) More water, 2) a place to stay that wasn't on a goat hill and 3) a place further away from a main highway - traffic noise was LOUD on Hwy 8.. We've since found those things on the ER chain...

Thanks Mark, I have reposted in the Rhinelander Area forum per your suggestion. Sid, i will definitely check out the rock bars for walleye and panfish.
