ID:	14087Well, the past two weeks have been frustrating for muskies. While we have raised some nice ones up to fifty inches, we have only managed to catch a 34 incher (my son Matt caught in on a crankbait). Yesterday Matt raised a real big one (50 inch class) and it waked a topwater right to the boat yet wouldn't commit. He also raised a 40 and 43 incher on the same lure, yet no biters. Talking with numerous other musky anglers in the area, no one is tearing them up lately. This tough pattern should change soon, and all heck is going to break loose when it does. I just hope I am off a day or two from work when it does!

On a more positive note, my boys and I have been catching some really nice bass up to five pounds on jigs, topwaters and wacky worms. I am posting some pictures below along with Matt's musky. Good luck on the water.
