A way off-topic post, but just wanted to remind muskie fisherman in the Bemidji/Cass area about the perils of lake hopping to Mille Lacs or any other Central MN water with zebra mussels, mifoil, and other invasives. Mille Lacs is about to go into crisis, with 400+ zebra mussels per square foot of lake bottom, soon to be 40,000. That lake is changed forever and it would be tragic if a similar fate were to befall Bemidji, Cass, Plantaganet, Leech and other Northern MN gems. Muskie fishermen are often the most responsible and informed people on the lake, so lets be especially diligent and help inform the general public about the severity of the invasives problem. Hopefully future generations can experience these waters as we have.
