    Default Fox Chain 6-25-11

Got out on the Fox Chain for a 1/2 day morning muskie hunt with Dale and his father Ben. I ended up boating a very nice 48" muskie on a Mepps Musky Marabou at about 6 am. Ben had a very nice 40" class fish wake up and try to eat a Whopper Plopper at the boat a few minutes later. We ended up raising 6 other muskies for the morning. Fished Marie and Channel. Water clarity must less due to algae bloom but weeds are still in very good shape. Water temps 73-75. The July 4th weekend should really change the lakes for the remaining months to come due to the boat traffic. Adjust your fishing times and days to maximize your muskie catches. Great care should be taken when fishing water temps at or above 80 degrees.
