Last Friday June 24, fished with Jeff Pust and Scott Peterson from Andover, Mn. Some fish were still spawning while in other parts of the lake the spawn is pretty much done. We caught and released around 25 -30 brownies, pretty good action on spinnerbait and tube jigs. Had a few fish in the 4 + lb range and lots of 2 -3 pounders. Water temps 62-64

On Tuesday June 28 fished with repeat client Fritz Peil and Ryan Davids of Bufflo,Mn. Tough day on the water, clients had to work hard for every fish they caught. spinnerbaits and tubes accounted for all the fish. Had several bonus northern pike on the spinnerbait. Post spawn really setting in, most fish were bucks with a few females in the 4 pound range. At the end of the day we boated around 20-25 fish. Mixed bag included largemouth, smallmouths and northern pike. Water temps 64- 66 degrees.

July 1, just got in from the lake. Water temps rising 67 to 72 degrees. Algea bloom beginning in some parts of the lake. Water cleariny: 4 to 5 feet.
Fish are definetly POST PARTUM BLUES! Rock reefs full of small fry and perch 2-3 inches. Lots of bass crusing the rocks but not bitting. Major mayfly hatch going on, and a few bas are slurping on the lake bugs. This slowdown should last for a few more days and then get ready for some summer bassin!
