I have been away from the computer while in Canada for the Muskie opener. Walleye fishing remains good if and I mean if the weather co-operates. You always need a little wind if you are fishing the Big Lake. The last few days have been fairly good. The evening bite is best as in most summer months, but you can get a limit during the day if the wind blows some. Big slot fish are the norm for the most part with some eater fish mixed in. Presentation has switched to crawlers and leeches on live bait rigs. You can target big fish by using larger minnows in the 5 to 6 inch range.

Muskie fishing remains slow. Warmer predicted weather this week should turn the big fish on. Weed growth is behind but weeds are growing as I write this.
