A big thank you to Paul Amberg for leaving a demo custom rod up here for me to try until he returns next month for another shot at the muskies.

This is a sweet, super light blank that is 7'10" in a MH power. It's been great for casting smaller bucks and anything a bit lighter (topwater, small cranks, etc). I will be keeping it handy (instead of locked up in the rod locker) so if anyone would like to throw a few casts off the dock, just give me a shout when you are here.

Seeing the intricate wrapping on some of his rods is quite something. What a great gift idea for the angler in your family that has it all. A unique, one of a kind rod made exactly how you want it. That Venture custom rod is pretty sweet. It casts awesome and is light as a feather. Been throwing small cranks and some topwater with it. My brother used it the other day with 2 oz spinner baits most of the evening and landed a 46" beauty! That thing was hanging and digging into the thick weeds in a saddle and that rod performed like a champ. It nobody takes it off my hands before Paul's last trip in August...I think i'll be shellint out for it myself. AHHHHHH!!! It's only money..I guess I can get another job in the winter to support my muskie habit. HAHA.
