    Default Fishing Report 6/21/2011

Fishing has slipped a little in the last week. 10 inches of rain did not help. We are still getting our limits, but it is taking alot of work. The elevation of Lake Francis Case has went up drastically in the last 2 days. If you are out in our area make sure and check boat ramp availablity and which roads are open. A few of them got washed out last night. All boat ramps on Sharpe are open on the southern 1/3. (Joe Creek south to the dam). American Creek Campground and boat ramp are flooded. The same for Elm Creek. High Water ramp at Cedar Shore is dock will hopefully be in today. I also heard the Game Fish and Parks will set up a high water ramp in Chamberlain. The boat ramp at Big Bend Dam is Still open. That could change if the water goes up much more.

We believe the fishing will straighten around once the water and mud gets flushed out in a couple of days. I will keep you posted on our fishing.

Here is my week's fishing report.
On Monday I had a group out from Thompson and Garner Iowa, and Buffalo Grove, IL. We had an excellent day catching 80 plus White Bass and Walleyes. Excellent Fishing Day.

Tuesday and Wed I had a group out from Lincoln, NE. We caught 80 fish on Wed with our limit caught by 1:30 p.m. Wed I made a change of venue and caught 40 walleyes with our limit again by 1:30p.m. Another excellent South Dakota Outing.

Thursday I had a company group from Carney, NE and Canton, SD. We had 10 boats out with the group with 9 getting their limits. (12 guide boats out of 13 for the day). My boat had its limit at 11:30 a.m. We caught around 40 fish.

Friday I had a group out from Des Moines, IA. Excellent fishing catching between 70 and 90 fish. Lots of White Bass and Walleyes.

Saturday and Sunday I had a group from the Salina, KS area. It took awhile to fill both days, but caught alot of white bass in the process. 16 walleyes and 51 white bass on Sat. and 12 walleyes and 36 white bass on Sunday. Between the 2 boats we cleaned 193 fish. Wow what a fish fry that will be!!!

    Until next week

    Default Nice Walleyes.

Our fishing now is getting back in full swing. It is taking us most of the day to get our fish, but these are some of the nicest stringers of fish we have seen for our area. Not uncommon to have many fish in your limit in the 2-4 lb range. Healthy 17 - 21 inchers. Looking to have an excellent July fishing on Case. Also an untapped reservoir (Sharpe). Not much fishing pressure up there so far with reports of limits now being caught.

    Look forward to seeing you
