    Default Fishing Report 6/14/11!

Hey anglers sorry about the delay in getting fishing reports on the board but we had a death in the immediate family and it has been a very tough time for us. But life moves on and its time to get things back to somewhat normal.

Water temps as of Tuesday morning 66 degree's.

Best bite have been Bluegills or Pike.

Bluegill action still remains strong with nice fish caught in 1 to 3 feet of water. Rocket bobbers, # 8 hook and some worms is all you need to get em. These fish are up on the beds. Search the bays with some weed growth and you will find them.

Pike, some big Pike again this week, several fish in the 30 to 36 inch size with a 40 inch being the largest, this Pike was still full of spawn. Mepps are hot!!! Spinnerbaits are working well too! Work the bays, action is good all day long. If your not a spinnerbait angler use stick baits.

Walleye's are working the shallows feeding on the helgramites (dragonflies) Jigs and minnows or slip bobbers and leeches. If your into crankbaits throw some Rapala X raps. Very good bite in the early morning hours.

Bass action was a little slower this week, some smallies caught on the rocks and Largemouth been back in the bays checking ut their spawning grounds.

Crappies are suspended over wood structure on the wis river. We are using slip bobbers and small jigs tipped with a minnow.

Muskies, action is fair, big fish are following but not many takers. Fish in the 30 to 36 inch size are being caught. Crane baits are the lures that are bringing up the big boys. Surface baits are starting to produce.

    Good Luck Anglers!

    Sorry for your loss.

How strange that the pike still had spawn in it. That is weird. We need those 40 inchers genes in the pool so that is too bad.

    Default Update!

Wow! A lot of Northern Pike being caught today! They are very active with the current weather. Rizzo's have been the lure of choice for some nice size fish. Now's the time!
    Good Luck,
