    Default Big Saint Germain Lake

I will be heading up to Big Saint for the first time in a few weeks. What is the water color of big Saint? Is it cisco based forage lake? I am just looking for a little info to help start us out. We will be out for mainly musky, but might try for some walleyes too. Thanks,
    Matt

The water is fairly clear- it is not a cisco based lake. There are good weedbeds along most shores, especially the east one and some good weeds by the island. I would try there first. I had good luck with yellow/black Mepps musky killer. You might also try silver/black.

Most walleye guys focus on the island area with slips or jig/minnow combos during low light periods or cloudy days. You could try deep structure during the day.
