The Fishing Is Fantastic....

It has been sometime since fishing has been this easy. The walleyes are going well, we boated over 40 walleyes in less that 2 hours on the Eagle River Chain, largest measuring 24 inches. All fish were caught in 3 to 5 feet of weeds. The weeds were primarily cabbage with scattered coontail present. Jack's Jigs 1/16th oz. weedless jigs is definitely the key for inexperienced weed fisherman. It comes through the toughest weeds effortlessly allowing the bite to be felt.

Northern Pike are biting great as well are the panfish when you run into them in a weedbed.

The crappies are also starting up in some of the weedbeds, especially on sunny days.

All the fish are hitting fathead minnows, although leeches will work also.
