Default Winnipeg River Sturgeon Update - May 30/11

The water temps have been hovering just above 48 degrees and the sturgeon have just finished their spawn. The good news is they are feeding heavily and concentrated in very small areas. In 1.5 days we boated 29 sturgeon. The half day we did 12, with twin 48.5"ers being the biggest. The next day we boated 17, with 6 over 50" and a 56"er being the biggest.

The fast, high water delayed things by about a week, but things are in full swing now! If you're interested in a trip to take advantage of the hot bite, I have a couple days open in the next week. You can e-mail me or call me at 1-866-676-FISH.
