How did the deer survive this past winter? I know there was some winter kill but not sure how bad it was.

What we see in the spring isn't always a good sampling for how the hunt will go...that much I am pretty sure about.

Must have been a reasonable winter on the deer because seeing deer much more frequently than last spring in the area. Last fall our deer hunters did very well on size and success rates, so I'm hopeful and encouraged.

Really hoping the deer will bounce up quickly in the next few years to where it was 3-4 years ago because that was fun hearing about all the deer the hunters let pass, waiting on an even bigger one.
