Thread: Finally a nice day on "The Rock"

Thumbs up Finally a nice day on "The Rock"

Nice morning, no wind for a change. In four hours we boated 16 "shorties, four keepers, 1 in the slot @ 251/2 inches, 8 crappies, and two white bass.
Supposed to have thunderstorms and heavy rain tomorrow so that will slow things again.

    Keep a tight line!!!

    Default The "Rock"

Hey Jerry, thanks for all the reports. Do you ever pull three ways with cranks on the Rock, or is it to snaggy? And have you ever lindy rigged flys. Coming up June 9th for a couple of days and just wondered what methods might work around that time. Thanks for your help Jerry, Jerry

Three-ways and cranks will work on the river, but way to much wood on the lakes. I pull flies 50% of the time. Still tough with all the wood, but a lot cheaper than cranks.

Yeah Jerry I was araid of that with the trees. Do you use Lindy floats ahead of your flies or will they float high enough without them? Thanks again for your help. Jerry

I use a modified three-way with two flies tied in line.
