5/15/11 Fishing report

What a change in the weather... Took Jim and Pat out fishing Saturday evening and the fish were slower. The Crappie were still in the same shallow areas but they were holding tight to the cover and the wind was really making it hard to get your bait in just the right spot. The largemouth bass seemed to be hitting, we caught 4 or 5 of them while crappie fishing. The walleye bite was very slow for us last night. Water temps dropped back down to 52.

The sun is shining today so that should help the lake temps a bit, now we just have to turn that wind down a little...

I want to thank you John for working hard to put us on the fish that you did considering the terrible weather. I did learn something new and will put it to good use in the future. Good luck and maybe I'll see you in the fall for some of those muskies you mentioned!
