I had two half days in the morning the last three days and the walleye bite was still off a little. We did however get into a few big pike so that kept us going a little. I'm guessing the evening bite is better. I'll find out tonight.
Gotta run,

Hello,
Coming up to the Chip in June. A buddy was wondering if Winter Lake was worth checking out for a day? Whats your opinion? Have you fished it?
Thanks for any info at all.

p.s. great job on the chip reports.
If you just want some action from smaller fish then Lake Winter is a good choice. The water is very stained and lots of timber to fish along shore. I wouldn't count on getting any fish over forty inches. They are pretty few and far between in that lake.
